unable to login to any microsoft website! Please help
MSDN Forums: Live Search -
Hi,
I have a problem on accessing microsoft website, eg. Microsoft.com, msn.com, hotmail.com, or live mesenger. FYI, I am connecting through a wireless router (SMC). I can access to any other website eg. google.com, yahoo.com.
I've also tried to ping microsoft.com, msn.com, hotmail.com > all return 100% lost result. Pingging google.com have no problem. The same laptop is able to access to the microsoft website when in the other network (other router, other network), but no lock when I connecting through the wireless router.
I've tried the following step:
1. Clear the IE Cache.
2. Check the LAN setting to automatically detect setting
3. Check the Windows XP system time
4. Check the MTU in the router - set to 1492
5. Uninstall Live Messenger, and try to access hotmail.com again => failed.
6. Lastly, I update my IE to IE7 => still canot
I am not sure why this problem occur since it works fine previously.. Please help, thanks.

Flash player v9, rev124 Live Search errors
MSDN Forums: Live Search - Hi
I'm developing a flash application that makes use of the Windows Live API. When running locally everything works. When running via various web servers it fails. Also, everything works (locally and via web server) when using previous flash player versions (r115 mac and r47 PC).
I have downloaded the example flash files and get the same results, works fine in previous flash player, fails with latest player. The errors I am getting aren't particularly useful, but I understand that this is due to flash being unable to read webservice faults if the http responce code is other than 200. It reports "connection fault" hiding all the details of fault. I get:
faultcode : Server.Connection
faultstring : Unable to connect to endpoint: http://soap.search.live.com:80/webservices.asmx
element : undefined
Are there any security issues I should be aware of? Anyone got any ideas?

Using Search API to return adverts
MSDN Forums: Live Search -
I notice that the Search API does support a return type of 'adverts'. I have some questions about this:
Can you use this functionality to display advertising content from within a non-web application (i.e. executable)?
Will there be a content affiliate program similar to Google AdWords so that revenue from these links can be passed back to the content owner?
If not, will there be an alternative to this approach?
Thanks

LIVE API error Invalid element in com.microsoft.schemas.MSNSearch._2005._09.fex.SourceResponse - RecourseQuery
MSDN Forums: Live Search -
Hi All,
I am using Live Java API. When searching for some key words, the program is giving the error '
Invalid element in com.microsoft.schemas.MSNSearch._2005._09.fex.SourceResponse - RecourseQuery'. For example, i passed the keyword 'onlinemarketing' as a query. This is generating the error. I have passed 'online marketing' and it gives search results.
Does this search API returns different format of XML output for different search query? Please help me.
Thanks,
Giri

Silverlight 2 Beta 2 crossdomain issue with msn live search api
MSDN Forums: Live Search - Hello,
it seems that I cannot access the msn live search webservice with Silverlight 2 Beta 2.
I think, the crossdomain file has not been updated to the new version, which is needed by silverlight 2 beta 2.
When will this issue be fixed?
